I haven't posted in a while... mostly because my job has kept me quite busy.

Recently I started going to the Taiwanese snack store on Jiuru Rd not far from Minzu Rd.
Start at Minzu and head towards the science museum. Its not that far from Minzu, Only about 1-2 lights.
Address: 高雄市三民區九如一路976號  976 Jiuru 1st rd.   Its right on the north west corner of the intersection.
This store sells traditional Taiwanese 'snack' food, soy milk, and black tea. The black tea is pretty good but not the best. I do not drink soy milk but my boyfriend says their store is AWESOME.
What I love about this store is the beef rolls, cao tai gui, egg tarts, twins, and most other foods.
The beef roll (niu rou zhuan) you can pick half or full sized and they cut it into 4-8 pieces. Inside: beef, onion (the long skinny green shoots kind) and of course the wrap. Not sure what else! But it is very very good!
Cao tai gui is made from white carrots,  its cooked over and open fire and then chopped and fried just a little bit. It's rockin!
Their egg tarts... nuff said
Twins (shuang bao tai) is a friend doughy bread similar to a zappoli but without the powdered sugar, try to get them while their hot, cause after they get cold its harder to eat.

Most of the food is delicious, just go up and point to the items you want if you cannot speak Chinese.
